You all boarded a ship in Valyria towards Pentos as masses of dragons were headed north, toward the Rhoynar cities.

The Captain allowed for it due to a lighter-than-normal load of goods being transferred. While aboard the ship, you found out that a number of ships have gone missing and no one really knows what to make of it.
During your travel, you managed to piss off the captain on numerous occasions, used some trickery and thievery — and after some epic battles with some aggressive rats — you all prevailed and collected a bit of l00t!
… and then you were all drowned and all your stuff was gone… such is life as we sing this song of ice and fire…
You awakened in Dorne by a powerful voice. Apparently, the speaker has been behind the ships going missing and has been using people to retrieve some sacred artifact called the Tear of Life.
“Please do not try to move. You have suffered quite the trauma. I assure you that you will be in full form soon enough. Unfortunately, you were the only survivors; we could not help the rest. We did what we could.”
“I must confess that this was no accident – you are here for a reason. I’ll get right to the point, time is of the essence. We need you to return the Tear of Life to restore our people and our way of life. The road is not safe, but we will not send you defenseless. We know the path, but are unable to take the journey ourselves, for our own reasons.”
“You are in Dorne, just outside of the Water Gardens not far from Sunspear. The Tear of Life allows us to survive this desert and without it, the Greenblood will dry up, destroying our way of life… again. I should add that we expected you would not want to help us after your ordeal, but we have taken certain… precautions.”
The voice is wielded by a Rhoynar cleric named Tyrone Bannister. He not only captured you but claims to have actually killed you all and brought you back using Water Magic. He embraced your wrists with magical chains of silver, and was aloof regarding the powers they confer to the wearer.
“You each have a chain bracelet on your left wrists imbued with magic.”
“Our magic is of a different source than you are accustomed. Yours is of Fire; ours is of Water. Yours is of Destruction; ours is of Regeneration. Yours is of Blood; ours is of Energy. There is much of this world that you may not understand yet… You will learn all in time – of that, I am certain.”
“The most important enchantments are the two that will keep you true. You see, I have given you the Gift of Life and I can take it away. You will need each other to complete this task – therefore the chains have a Blessing of Cohesion: if you stray from each other, you will find your energy waning – less than ideal for where you will be headed. The second bestowment is a Curse of Reckoning: if you are not consistently moving towards the Tear of Life, you will begin to notice your little Gift… fading.”
“I am Tyrone Bannister. There is no doubt you have questions, and I will give you all the information I can.”
You are now headed to the Labyrinth of Ghost Hill to deliver on this quest or … most likely die in the process… everyone else has…
“You are to head north to a Labyrinth not far from Ghost Hill. The Labyrinth will not be easy to find, but your chains will help you in that regard; there are a few other magical… abilities… that need not be discussed right now; all will become clear with time.”
“The road north will lead you through the mountains. After a few days, you should find a westward path towards the Labyrinth.”
“I regret that I was not able to retrieve anything you set sail with. Please arm yourselves as you see fit.”
Your location is in a small temple just north of Sunspear as you gear up for your journey.

You assume, rightfully, that these have been collected from the previous “adventurers” that have attempted the quest ahead.
There are two prominent pegs in the wall that look like they used to hold something that would be considered important.
Before sending you on your way, he had some interesting interactions with members of your party and gave you a section of the Labyrinth map.
“And for you…” [points to Tholannan] “… yes… I sense a pious strength in you. I have some information you’d like to have…” Tyrone’s and Tholannan’s eyes lock and begin glowing a deep blue that hurts for anyone else to look at. The glowing fades after a few moments. “… I hope this is not a mistake.”
“And you…” [points to Qarzdaq] “…I have mixed feelings about you…” points to the rest of the party in a sweeping motion, “Keep an eye on this one…”
“Oh… One more thing… It is dangerous to go alone. Take this…” [Part of the Labyrinth acquired] “… this is what I have of the Labyrinth map.”
“It was brought back here from the last group of adventurers that attempted this task. My mistake was not using the Curse of Reckoning with them. I had to deal with that issue a little differently… the cowards – I made sure this will NOT happen again…”
“And do not mistake me for a heartless grumkin” [glances at Burton] “… so in addition to the safeguards I have in place, you will also be rewarded upon your return with the Tear of Life. You will have gold, armaments, freedom, and an open fate.”
“You will need strength as well as guile to retrieve the Tear – I hope you are up to the task… for your sakes and ours.”
