It is day 50 as Qarzdaq, Qhortho, Tholannan, and Tirius are walking down the street and meet up with Burton and Shadowsilver.
There is a loud uproar from the lingering crowd at the arena. A loud obnoxious man passes by yelling about never betting against a warhorse. Tholannan is glad he got out of there then he did with his winnings.
As the group exits town, only one caravan remains parked outside the gate. A second comes out of the gate and parks alongside it. Each wagon is led by 2 horses, and 5 lightly armored men guard the sitting wagons.
After some talking about the best way to proceed, Shadowsilver decides to stay behind and stake out the Yronwood Yronworks.
The rest of the group leaves town to catch up with Martell’s troops.
You leave Yronwood to the north, and after about a day’s ride, you can make out a mass of troops not too far ahead. They appear to be carrying a banner of a Portcullis with chains hanging down; the sigil of House Yronwood.
Upon reaching the troops, Tirius dismounts to talk with the troop commander on his own, instructing the rest of the group to wait. Tirius finds the commander and speaks with him, intent on every word coming out of Tirius’ mouth. Tirius then shows the sigil to the commander, and the commander glances around slightly panicked. Tirius puts a hand on his shoulder, says a few words, and then starts walking back to the group.
Tirius: Ok, here’s how we’re going to make this work. I am going to head back to The Sandship with the troops under the cover of darkness. You will have to continue without me. You should head back to Yronwood to gain intel and try to sabotage the shipments going out to the west.
While Shadowsilver was back at Yronwood, she was able to scale the Yronworks walls and dose the raw iron piles, despite the guards patrolling the inner road.
Through the various plans and schemes to poison weapons and raw iron, the group was able to taint everything coming out of Yronwood. The only caravans that were not dosed were the 6 that departed before the group began laying the Ferrom.
They then took to the road – the plan was to travel to the western-most town of Starfall and see what they could do there to help the cause. They would then make their way back, hitting each town along the way, determining the best way to help the Mors and Nymeria.
Along the road, they encountered several foes: panthers, basilisks, a health-regenerating troll, and a band of highwaymen.
In that last encounter, the leader barely got out 3 words before an arrow exploded his head, shot by none other than Shadowsilver, who had enough nonsense for the day.
The other two immediately taken aback, disarmed themselves and wanted to talk. And talk they did.
It turns out that they had been traveling these roads for some time and picked up some useful tidbits of information!
Yronwood supplies weapons and gear to Starfall, High Hermitage, Skyreach, Blackmont, Kingsgrave, and Wyl.
Starfall and High Hermitage supply men to Blackmont.
Skyreach supplies men to Kingsgrave.
Blackmont and Kingsgrave are responsible for a tower to the north along the mountain ridge.
Kingsgrave and Wyl are responsible for a second tower, almost directly east of the other tower.
For yielding this information, those two other highwaymen were allowed to go free.
The group decides to rest here for a bit to discuss what they’ve just learned.
As a result of the entire 25 days’ worth of endeavors, each member of the party gains 1535XP.
